Willo Smith

Every time I see a story that catches my eye I always want to hear people's opinion on it.

Willow Smith is having a very good week. Not only did her debut music video rack up nearly 5 million hits in just a few days -- and a 'Sesame Street' parody mash-up is doing almost just as well.

Now, the 9-year-old is talking about the concept behind the video, and it involves coining a few new terms.
"Me and my mom first came up with Willowettes, and then we came up with Warriorettes," Smith tells MTV News. "It takes a warrior to stand up for themselves and not let anybody tell them that what they're wearing or what they're saying or what they're doing is wrong."

So that technicolor crew dancing with her in "Whip My Hair," those would be the Warriorettes.

"'Whip My Hair' means don't be afraid to be yourself," says Smith, "and don't let anybody tell you that that's wrong. Because the best thing is you."

A catchy hook and a positive message? We're smitten.
